Electrical Inspections: Periodic Inspection of Fixed Installations

The requirement for Periodic Inspection and testing of fixed electrical installations was specified in Guide Note 3 Part 2 sections 4.2 & 4.3, which accompany the regulations.

Generally undertaken on a 5 yearly cycle. Periodic Inspections are necessary due to wear and tear, loading and ageing of installations, change of use and alterations or additions. Local Authorities may require more frequent testing.

We will provide a Periodic Inspection Reports, on printed NICEIC Forms, which will provide a list of Observations and Recommendations, if any required. We can either provide costs for any remedial works, and any works would be explained and shown as necessary.
